MISHA PATEL
owner & lead instructor

Misha is a fully certified Stott Pilates and TRX Suspension Training instructor with an emphasis on injuries and special populations. Hence, in addition to offering classes to the general public, professional athletes, expecting and new mothers, young adults, and active seniors, Misha welcomes clients with herniated or bulged disc, spinal fusions, neck trauma, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel, meniscal tears, breast surgery, or scoliosis. Additionally, Misha has experience in training clients who have separated abdominals, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, TMJ, biceps tendinopathy, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, ACL / PCL tears, fibromyalgia, MS, or neuropathy. Misha's teachings are heavily influenced by her understanding of human anatomy and kinesiology, which enables her to aid each of her clients achieve his or her individual goals in a healthy, appropriate, and proactive manner. As an accomplished dancer, figure skater, and choreographer, Misha has spoken at several national and international conventions about injury prevention and the importance of strength and flexibility to that end. In 2018, she became one of the few fitness professionals to ever be named to Silicon Valley’s Top 40 Under 40 by Silicon Valley Business Journal. Misha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts, Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Marketing from Santa Clara University.


ROSALYNN ADAMS
instructor

An experienced instructor, Roz holds certifications in AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), Stott Mat and Reformer, MPS Mentorship Program Level 1, Aqua Aerobics, Tai Chi, Zumba, TRX Suspension and Rip Training, Silver Sneakers, a 500hr Yoga certification, CPR/AED, and received specialized training in injury prevention and special populations. Roz is a dedicated instructor with a special interest in injury rehabilitation and the Senior/Gold population whose members she inspires with her exemplary commitment and passion. Roz enjoys helping her students achieve their personal goals and learn to live life on purpose, with purpose.


MARCELLA AVITIA

instructor

After a severe car accident in 1998, Marcella turned to Pilates for rehabilitation. Much to her amazement, this allowed her to fully recover and even participate in the outdoor activities she had sorely missed. Wishing to help others have a similar experience, Marcella obtained a Barre Intensity Certification, completed MPS Mentorship Program Level 1 in 2014, and Level 2 in 2015, and received specialized training for injury rehabilitation and special populations. In addition to helping many MPS clients reach their individual wellness and performance goals, Marcella is also the lead instructor and program designer of MPS Barre Fusion sessions.


CRISTEN KEHL
instructor

Cristen graduated with honors from Santa Clara University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Film Production. Continuing her lifelong passion for dance, she also minored in Theatre Arts, Dance. In 2016, Cristen trained under Misha and Marcella to teach TRX and Barre Fusion at MPS. As an instructor with extensive background in dance, she pays particular attention to full muscle activation and elongation.


JESSA WELSH
instructor

Jessa first joined MPS as a client in 2010, in order to find a way of excercising despite severe spinal injuries. Her life was changed when she realized that she could complete a full body workout not only without further injuring herself, but instead strengthening the weakened areas of her back. She dedicated herself to further understand how Pilates can dramatically improve the lives of others with injuries, illnesses, or muscle imbalances. Jessa successfully completed MPS Mentorship Program Level 1 in 2017 and Level 2 in 2018. Her passion and experience inspire MPS clients.


NATSUKI GEHRT
massage therapist

Natsuki graduated in the top of her class from NHI in Massage Therapy with a diploma in Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapy and Health Education (ANMT) in 2017. ANMT is a brain-based neurological approach to assessing, treating and preventing soft tissue injuries, postural distortions and chronic pain. Natsuki also holds California's CAMTC certification. She has worked with twelve of Stanford University’s NCAA teams including, but not limited to, golf, football, volleyball, and basketball. Beyond her collegiate and even Olympic athletes, Natsuki regularly sees pianists, pre and post surgical clients, expecting mothers, and weekend warriors. Natsuki fuses her Eastern training of acupressure and cupping, having received certificates of completion from Five Branches University, with her extensive training and experience of myofascial release, active release methods, trigger point therapy, Dermoneuromodulation, injury treatment/prevention, and more. Academically, she holds a masters degree in Education. At MPS, Natsuki tailors treatments for clients to continue or resume their lifelong pursuits of health, fitness, and well-being by identifying and correcting factors that are detrimental to our clients' objectives.
